The program at Apollo Parkways Preschool is based on the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years and Development Framework. We aim to provide a preschool 
service that is always responsive to the best interests of each child, with all children having equal access to the program.
The program embraces ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’ from the EYLF. Children are involved in experiences that develop:
– A strong sense of identity
– An understanding that they are connected with and contribute to their world
– A strong sense of well-being
– Confident and involved learners
– Effective communication
The program allows children to be involved in activities that develop physical skills, social skills, intellectual skills, communication skills, increase independence and develop a positive self-image. A safe and accepting environment is fostered where the rights of all children are acknowledged and individuality and creativity are encouraged.
Sessions have a structure that consists of indoor time, outdoor time and group times. The activities planned for each of these times varies depending on the children’s interests both as a group and as individuals.
The philosophy and ideas of the staff at Apollo Parkways Preschool is continually growing. Their passion for early childhood education means that they are at the forefront of new developments, and endeavour to provide an excellent program for all children.
Our Philosophy
We believe that children have a natural love of learning and are independent and capable learners. We aim to provide a nurturing environment where learning is enjoyable, meaningful and related to
children’s interests. Opportunities for children to explore the natural environment are provided. We endeavour to enhance and build on the children’s skills and knowledge already acquired and scaffold their learning to provide a sound foundation for future learning.
We strive to create a strong sense of community and a respectful environment in which the children feel safe and valued. Each child’s individuality is respected and we support the cultural and religious diversity of families.
